Colorado vs. Washington, Post-game Notes

December 09, 2003 | Women's Basketball

- QUICKLY...Colorado's starting lineup of Billingsley, Fagan, Bjorklund, Johns-Richardson, Wirt moves to 6-0 on the season.

- DOUBLE DOUBLE-DOUBLE...Amber Metoyer and Tera Bjorklund both posted double-doubles this evening.  It was the first of Metoyer's career, and the 11th of Bjorklund's.  Metoyer's 12 rebounds are a career high, as are her 16 points.  It's the second time this season that the Metoyer-Bjorklund connection has combined for two double-digit rebounding totals in the same game (Idaho State).

- DOUBLE DIPPING...Tera Bjorklund has double figures in 26 consecutive games dating back to last season.

- DONE DOUBLE DIPPING...Randie Wirt's streak of double-digit games was snapped at three.

- CHARGE!!!...Anna Nedovic took her third charge of the season, the second most on the team (Kate Fagan, 12)

- JUST AVERAGE...Bjorklund hit her Big 12-leading season scoring average (22.0) with 15 minutes remaining in the second half.

- I'VE GOT YOUR POLLS...This is Colorado's second win over a ranked team this season, and the Buffs are now 2-1 on the year in that scenario. It's also CU's 46th win ever over a ranked team.

- TRES BIEN...Kate Fagan has hit a three pointer in all eight CU games this season, and consecutive games.

- THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE COORS...CU's home winning streak is now seven games in a row.

- OUR BENCH IS BETTER THAN YOUR BENCH...The Buffaloes got 25 points out of their bench tonight, their third most total this season after putting 35 on Old Dominion and 25 on Idaho State.
