February 21, 2003 | Women's Basketball

-Colorado (19-5, 9-4 Big 12) is now one win away from giving Ceal Barry her 12th 20-win season at the reins of the Buffs (in 20 seasons overall). It would also be the school's third In a row, ninth in the last 12 and 16th in 29 years in its history.

-This was CU's 13th straight win over Missouri in Boulder; Missouri's last win in Boulder remains on Feb. 7, 1990, when it escaped with a 58-55 win. The average margin of victory for CU in these games is 15.0 points, with only two decided by six points or less and nine by 10 points or more. Colorado now leads the all-time series, 31-22, including a 17-5 edge in Boulder.

-Colorado is now 37-2 in its last 39 games against unranked teams, dating back to the end of the 2000-01 season. The losses both came this year-to Villanova in the Coors Classic final and at Missouri.

-This marked the third time in the last five games CU held the opponent to under 50 points, as the opponent has been limited to 54.2 points the last five times out (CU is 4-1 in these games).

-Kate Fagan. She went 4-of-4 from the free throw line to extend her streak to 36 consecutive makes, a school record; that topped Shelley Sheetz' previous school mark of 35 set between Feb. 1-29, 1992. Fagan is now 52-of-53 on the year (98.1%), including 27-for-27 in Big 12 play. Her lone miss came at California on Dec. 8, so she's perfect in 2003.

-Veronica Johns-Richardson. Sophomore Veronica Johns-Richardson scored in double figures (10 points) for the fifth time this season, the second time in the last three games. Averaging 4.2 for the season, she's stepped up in the last three games to score 9.7 per outing. She keyed CU's bench outscoring Missouri by a 20-9 margin.

-Tera Bjorklund. Junior Tera Bjorklund led all scorers with 22 points, the 13th time she's led the team in scoring this year, and the first time in six games a Buff hit the 20-point mark. It was the eighth time she's scored 20-plus in 2002-03.

-Linda Lappe. Senior Linda Lappe scored 13 points (11 in the second half), her seventh time in double figures this season.
