COLORADO FALLS TO COLORADO STATE IN FOUR GAMES

FORT COLLINS, Colo.  ? Colorado saw its five-match winning streak end at the hands of intra-state rival Colorado State in four games, 30-25, 20-30, 22-30, 20-30, in front of 1,926 fans in Moby Arena on Tuesday.

CU falls to 6-2 overall while the Rams, who have played all their matches at home this season, move to 5-2.


Senior Monique Gerlach led the way offensively with 15 kills. Sophomore Allie Griffin had 11 kills, a match-high 11 digs and tied a career high with seven blocks. CSU's Tess Rogers led all players with 17 kills. CU hit just .100 for the match (53 kills-39 errors-140 attacks), its lowest total of the season.

CU will open its home schedule with the Colorado Invitational beginning on Friday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m. against Oregon in the Coors Events Conference Center.
