“I didn't expect as much physical play as we saw tonight,” Bjorklund said. “We all knew that they were a very athletic team, just not that physical. They have really improved a lot from last year.”
Kate Fagan had 13 points, and Randie Wirt added 10 points and 13 rebounds in her second straight double-double for Colorado (15-2, 4-1 Big 12).

The Buffs would relinquish the lead a minute later but went ahead for good with five minutes remaining in the half.
The Aggies would get within a point early in the second half, but from the 15-minute mark on it was all Buffaloes.
“I thought when we pushed the lead up to 13, we had it in hand,” Fagan said. “We have some really good free-throw shooters on our team and Tera (Bjorklund) is usually able to get some buckets at the end.”

The Buffs now hit the road for a pair of Big 12 tilts, facing off first at Iowa State on Jan. 25 and then at Missouri on Jan. 31.
