NURMI KEEPS ROLLING AT ITA REGIONAL

TULSA, Okla. ? University of Colorado freshman Veera Nurmi won her first round match on Wednesday to advance to the Round of 32 at the 2004 Wilson/ITA Region V Women's Tennis Championships hosted by the University of Tulsa.
Nurmi won her first two matches on Tuesday in the qualifying rounds to advance to today's Round of 64. She defeated Carla Zabaleta of Tulsa 6-4, 7-5 for her third straight victory.
Number five seed Lynzee Kever also advanced to the second round defeating Emily Kirchem of Colorado State in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. Kever is the No. 67th nationally ranked player according to the fall rankings administrated by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
