GENERAL: “First of all, credit to South Dakota, they played with tremendous focus and great outside shooting. #23 (Jenni Flynn) really got us at the end of the first half hitting three 3-pointers with about 1:30 left. At half time we focused on not giving up so many 3's. The did a good job of drawing two players to the ball. We made the adjustment at half time to not help as much in the second half to eliminate the open looks they were getting.”

ON HER 25-POINT PERFORMANCE: “I think it was the way they were playing me. I played center all through high school so it is easy for me to play in the post position.”

ON DEFENSIVE INTENSITY IN SECOND HALF: “We were pretty down on the defensive end, and I didn't want to lose so we picked it up. We picked it up on defense as best as we could. When we played hard defense everything got better, and rom our defense our offense got better and more efficient.”

GENERAL ? “Offensively we played well. We don't usually see that kind of pressure and height very often in Division II. We played pretty well though, and I thought we took what we could get.”

ON SOUTH DAKOTA INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES ? “Jacobs played a great game defensively on Richardson, who is obviously their team leader and a great player. Yanez played a great game as well. She is difficult for their big players to guard because of her range.”

ON RELINQUISHING THEIR HALFTIME LEAD BECAUSE OF COLORADO'S INSIDE GAME ? “I think in the second half they basically just wore us down with their inside game.”

ON COLORADO PLAYERS THAT STOOD OUT ? “McFarland really surprised us. I didn't see her a lot on film because she hasn't played very much. But her and Ilic definitely caught us off guard as far as their abilities as big scorers.”
