Harrison Receives Athlete of the Week Honors

BOULDER-- After scoring a game-high 24 points in the first half on 10-of-12 shooting from the field leading Colorado to a 78-75 to a season sweep of Nebraska, junior David Harrison receives Athlete of the Week honors for the third consecutive week.

Colorado's win over Nebraska clinched the Buffs first round bye in the Phillip's 66 Big 12 Tournament. Harrison scoring only seven points in the first meeting with NU, was more dominant this time around netting his seventh 20-point game of the season. The 7'0" center grabbed eight rebounds against the Huskers, which was his 11th straight game with seven or more boards in a game.

This week, Harrison shot an impressive .739 (17-of-23) from the field over Iowa State and Nebraska, the second best two-game total since shooting .850 (17-of-20) against Missouri and Baylor at the end of January.

Others nominated for this week's award are Lynzee Kever (women's tennis) and Mark Bundalo (men's tennis).

WOMEN'S TENNIS: Lynzee Kever, Freshman, Edmond, Okla.

Freshman Lynzee Kever rolled to her seventh win in nine matches at No. 1 singles taking a pair of matches over the weekend. Colorado (6-4) defeated No. 60 Boise State, 4-3 and lost to No. 28 New Mexico. Kever, from Oklahoma City, Okla. also teamed with junior Kendra Strandemo at No. 2 doubles in CU's win over Boise State. The Buffaloes are ranked No. 48 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll.

MEN'S TENNIS: Mark Bundalo, Sophomore, Pancevo, Yugoslavia

Sophomore Marko Bundalo won his lone match of the week at No. 3 singles helping the CU men's tennis team defeat Big 12 rival Nebraska, 5-2. The Pancevo, Yugoslavia native recorded a three-set win at No. 2 singles to notch his third straight win and improve his spring record to 7-3.
