BOULDER  - University of Colorado All-American nordic skier Claire Critchley (Alberta, Canada) has been named to the Academic All-District VII University Division Women's At-Large team by the College Sports Information Directors of America and will be advancing on to the national ballot CoSIDA announced Friday.

 

Critchley is one of 10 student-athletes named to the team from a list of 49 nominations.

 

The recent graduate with a degree in kinesiology competed in all 11 nordic races in 2004 with six top 10 finishes and 11 top 20 efforts as she scored in all 11 classical and freestyle races this season.  She earned first All-American status with a sixth place classical finish at NCAA Championships, where the Buffs took home top nordic team honors. In the classroom she was a 2003 and ?04 Division I National All-Academic team member and 2004 All-Rocky Mountain Ski Association pick.  Her 3.861 grade point average was the highest on team and fourth best in CU athletic department this year.
