? Texas rallied from an 0-2 deficit to defeat Colorado in five games 26-30, 20-30, 30-22, 30-20, 20-18 in a Big 12 Conference showdown Saturday night at Gregory Gymnasium

Colorado sees its four-match winning streak come to an end, dropping to 6-3 overall, 1-1 in the Big 12. Texas remains unbeaten in 2004 at 9-0, 2-0 in league action. CU was the first team to take even one game from the Longhorns in 2004 as their previous eight matches had all been three-game sweeps.

The Buffs had won 23-straight matches when up 2-0 since the 2002 season.
Colorado controlled the first two games, hitting .301 (34 kills-12 errors-73 attacks) while holding Texas to .185 (26k-134-65att). The opposite happened in the next two games. UT was slightly better at .210 (31k-14e-81att), but the Buffs dropped off considerably to .151 (26k-15e-73att).

Both teams were solid in an epic game-five battle. CU improved its hitting to .300 (14k-5e-30att), but
Texas was even better at .417 (13k-3e-24att). Still, the Buffs had four match points starting at 14-13, but could never close it out.

It's the highest game five score CU has been involved in since defeating Ball State 24-22 on Sept. 4, 1995 in Boulder.

Junior Nicole Carr had a double-double for the Buffs with 14 kills and 16 digs. Junior Allie Griffin led CU with 17 kills, Maragda Santillana had 16 and Austin Zimmerman had 10. UT's Mira Topic led all players with 27 kills and 17 digs.\
