No. 9 Texas Takes 5-2 Decision Over No. 52 Buffs

SAN ANTONIO, Texas ? No. 9 Texas stayed unbeaten in Big 12 Conference play with a 5-2 dual win over No. 52 Colorado Saturday at the Thousand Oaks Raquet Club in San Antonio. The match was moved to San Antonio due to inclement weather in the Austin area.
Texas remains atop the Big 12 standings at 6-0, 12-4 overall. Colorado drops its third straight match falling to 7-8 overall and 2-4 in Big 12 duals. Colorado sophomore Lynzee Kever won her fourth-straight singles match with a 6- 2, 2-6, 7-5 decision over Kendra Strohm at the No. 2 slot. Buffaloes sophomore Martina Sedivec picked up CU's only other point with a 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 win over Courtney Zauft at No. 5 singles.
Colorado's No. 27 ranked doubles tandem of Kendra Strandemo and Jessica Vanderdys pulled an upset with an 8-4 victory over No. 18 ranked Strohm and
Katie Ruckert at the No. 1 slot, but the Longhorns picked up the doubles point
as Petra Dizdar and Mia Marovic defeated Kever and Sedivec 8-4 at No. 2
doubles and Ristine Olson and Zauft squeaked by with an 8-6 win over Veera
Nurmi and Gleisy Torres Torres at No. 3 doubles.
The Buffaloes continue Big 12 action on Saturday, April 2, at Texas Tech
University.
