Missouri-Colorado Notes
February 18, 2006 | Women's Basketball
Colorado used the starting lineup of Escalera-Skildum-Nedovic-Law-McFarland for the first time this year. It is the sixth different starting lineup for the Buffaloes in 2005-06 with four of the previous five due at least in part to injury.
Jasmina Ilic was a last minute scratch for Colorado due to an injured right shoulder. Senior Tami Garnett also missed the game with the flu leaving the Buffaloes only seven scholarship players, and walk-on Courtney Wallace, available for Saturday's game.
Jackie McFarland scored 22 points and had 12 rebounds for her 13th double-double of the season, the fourth best single-season mark in team history. She is only the second different player in team history with 13 double-doubles as the other three belong to CU Hall of Famer Lisa VanGoor. Her 18 career double-doubles ties Sabrina Scott (2000-03) for the fifth on the CU career charts.
McFarland registered her sixth 20 point, 10 rebound double-double off the season. She is one of just five players in the Big 12 conference with six 20-10 doubles this season. McFarland also has three-straight 20-point games, the best mark on the team this season.
