AMES, Iowa ? The University of Colorado volleyball team was swept by Iowa State on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa. The games scores were 23-30, 17-30 and 20-30.

The Buffs hit .167 on the night with 36 kills on 108 attacks and 18 errors. The Cyclones recorded 53 kills on 109 attempts with 14 errors to hit .358.

Alex Buth recorded 11 kills to lead the Buffs. She hit a team-best .375 with just two errors on 24 swings. Emilee Sisco was the only other Buffs in double-digit kills with 10. Schylur Edelman recorded nine kills and hit .353. Kaitlyn Burkett dished out 27 assists in the effort.

Callie Webster led CU's passing with 10 digs. The Buffs recorded 31 digs to ISU”s 50 on the night.

The Cyclones won the blocking battle with 10.5 while CU recorded just 4.0. Rosie Steinhaus led CU with three block assists, while Sisco added two assists.

Colorado fell to 5-17 overall and remained winless in the Big 12, suffering its 14^th straight conference loss. Iowa State, which ranks fifth in the league standings, moved to 14-9 overall and 8-5 in the conference.

The Buffaloes return home on Saturday, Nov. 3 to host Texas Tech. The first serve is set for 12 p.m. at the Coors Events Center.
