Colorado drops its fourth straight game to Texas A&M, but the Buffaloes hold a 10-5 overall edge in the series.

 

Colorado falls to 8-10 in Big 12 Championship tournament games

 

Colorado falls to 3-5 in the Big 12 Championship tournament quarterfinal round. The Buffaloes drop to 2-2 in Big 12 tournament action as the No. 8 seed. The No. 8 seed has never defeated the No. 1 seed in the Big 12 tournament (0-4).

 

Colorado's 15 first-half points was its lowest of the season and tied for the third lowest first-half total in team history. The Buffs scored 14 on two occasions ? Dec. 18, 2004 at Pacific and March 6, 1984 at Missouri -- and 15 once before, on Jan. 11, 2003 at Kansas State.

 

Jackie McFarland set a new school record for free throws made in one season with 161. She was 9-for-10 against Texas A&M and passed Bridget Turner's previous record of 154 set in 1988-89 on her third attempt. McFarland is sixth on CU's career list for free throws made at 383.

 

McFarland registered her 18th double-double of the season which ties her with Lisa Van Goor (1982-83) for the third best single-season mark in team history. It was her 37th career double-double, tying Erin Scholz (1993-97) for second on CU's all-time list.

 

McFarland moved into 13th on CU's all-time scoring list with 1,320. Her 533 points this season ranks seventh on the school's single-season chart while her 17.8 per game average ranks sixth.

 

McFarland registered her 100th career blocked shot, sixth on the school's all-time list.

 

McFarland finishes with the third best single-season rebounding average in team history at 10.8 per game, trailing only Linda Gehrke's 12.3 rpg in 1977-78 and Lisa Van Goor's 11.0 rpg in 1980-81. Her 325 on the season ranks as the best-ever by a junior and fifth overall.

 

Hannah Skildum had 10 points for her second double-digit scoring performance of the season, both of which have come in the last three games.

 

Jasmina Ilic ends her career 19th on Colorado's all-time scoring list at 1,093 and sixth on CU's all-time chart for 3-point field goals at 150.
