Dodson Advances At U.S. Trials

Men's Track & Field Team Ranked 19

NEW ORLEANS - The University of Colorado men's track and field team fell to 19 in the USTFCCCA rankings released on Wednesday.

 

LSU is the top ranked team with 278.93 points. Texas A&M moved up to second this week with 273.05 and Florida State is third with 266.48. The Buffs fell three spots from 16th last week with 107.97 points.

 

CU's Stephen Pifer and Brent Vaughn both improved their marks in the 1,500-meter run at the Oregon Relays last weekend. Pifer moved up two spots and into seventh with a time of 3:41.55 and Vaughn moved up 30 positions to 23rd (3:43.69).

 

The Buffs will have one last chance this weekend to improve on their marks before the Big 12 Conference Championship on May 16-18 in Boulder. Members of the distance squad will travel to Stanford for the Cardinal Invite on May 4. The rest of the team will participate in the Front Range Classic in Laramie, Wyo. on May 3.
