TEAM

-First 0-4 start to begin Big 12 play since 2004-05

-CU has lost its last six in a row to Kansas State

-The Buffs started the game with the same starting line up they have used for the past 11 games.

-Kansas State went on a nine-point run that ended when Thorne II went to the line at 10:13 to add two points for the Buffs.

-CU had been tied at the half once this season and then went on to win the game (prior to tonight).

-CU has made at least one 3-pointer in 213 straight games.

-Most points CU has scored since Coppin State, Dec. 28 (80 points).

-CU is 0-2 in overtime games this season.

-Kansas State outscored CU 14-4 on second-chance points and 17-4 on bench points.

-Kansas State held a 13-4 offensive rebounding advantage.

-Colorado shot a scorching 84.6% (22-of-26) including 82.4% (14-of-17) from the floor, 83.3% from beyond the arch (5-of-6) and 88.9% (8-of-9) from the charity stripe.  By comparison, they shot 33.3% (7-of-21) from the floor including 14.3% (1-of-7) from beyond the arch in the first half.

Ryan Kelley

-will have a MRI on Wednesday to determine his fractured left knee cap suffered in Thursday's practice. Kelley, a freshman played in 13 games averaging 2.9 ppg.  Kelley led CU in scoring with 19 points at Missouri (Jan. 14).

 

Cory Higgins

-18th game this season in double digits

-played 40 minutes (45 tonight) for the fourth time in his career

 

Dwight Thorne II

-Thorne II scored in double digits for the 16th time in his career; netted double figures for the fourth straight game, five of his last six

-Leading scorer for the third time this season.

-made a three-pointer at 10 seconds left in the game to put the game into overtime.

-Career-high in points, FGs made, tied in FG attempts, 3-pters. Made; also first time he played 40 minutes in a game

 

Jermyl Jackson-Wilson

- At 34.9 seconds left in the game made a three point play to bring the score within one.

- With six rebounds today, moves into 39th place on CU's all-time rebounding list (383)

 

Nate Tomlinson

-First game Tomlinson has fouled out this season

-has recorded an assist in every game this season in which he has played (16 games)

- recorded one assist to move into 11th place on CU's all-time freshman list

 

IN OVERTIME:

-First overtime in the series since Feb. 7,

-Sixth OT game in the series (KSU leads 1996 (CU won 64-63) at Manhattan. 5-1).

-last home OT game since 94-87 win over OU, Feb. 25, 2004.
