Earlier this week Colorado senior Jenny Barringer was named a finalist for the USATF Jesse Owens Athlete of the Year. The award goes to the sport's top athletes of the year (male and female) and is selected by a vote of the media. This year, an online fan balloting will account for 10 percent of the votes. Fan voting is from now until Tuesday, October 13, at 1 p.m. (MST) (http://www.usatf.org/promotions/JesseOwensAwardVote/index.asp).

The next meet for the Buffaloes is NCAA Pre-Nationals on Saturday, October 17, in Terre Haute, Ind. The meet is a chance for CU to preview the course for the NCAA Championship on November 23.
