Colorado returns all but one scorer next season and will look to build additional depth as attention shifts toward the 2026 campaign.
"Women back in the top fifteen and the men back in the top ten. We are moving the program in the right direction, and I am excited for the future with the majority of our team returning," said Coach Sean Carlson. "Our athletes showed real growth this season, and we are only scratching the surface of what this group can become. The foundation is strong, and we will continue building toward championship expectations."
On the men's side, Colorado finished 10th at the NCAA National Championship behind a tight pack that placed all five scorers inside the top 100. Dominic Serem led the Buffaloes with a 58th place finish in 29:18.0. Jake Liebert followed in 68th, and James Overberg placed 74th. Isaiah Givens finished 88th and Dean Casey took 92nd to give Colorado 318 points. The Buffs remained inside the top 10 through the middle stages and used strong closing kilometers to secure their first top 10 finish since back to back eighth place results in 2021 and 2022.

As the sun set on championship Saturday, the Buffaloes walked away with more than a pair of strong national finishes. They leave Columbia with a renewed sense of direction, a deeper roster than a year ago, and a collective belief that the next step is within reach. With nearly every scorer returning, Colorado is positioned to make another climb in 2026 as the program continues to grow under Carlson's vision.
