Colorado State-Colorado Postgame Notes 

Colorado falls to 6-2, snapping a four game winning streak. The Buffaloes have lost seven straight on an opponents home court, dating back to the 2008-09 season.

 

Colorado State snapped a three game series winning by Colorado in this series, although the Buffaloes maintain a 30-11 lead in the series.  

Bianca Smith hit three 3-pointers, moving into fourth place on CU's all-time list with 198. She passes Kate Fagan who had 197 from 1999-04. Smith's 18 field goal attempts were a career high, passing her old mark of 17 set against Virginia (11/24/08) and Texas (2/16/08). Smith has scored in double-digits in seven of eight games.

 

Brittany Spears had nine rebounds, jumping up two spots to 14th on CU's all-time rebounding list with 564. She passed Susan Horner (560, 1977-79) and LeaAnn Banks (561, 1984-86). 

Colorado went on an 11-3 scoring run from 7:23-5:03 in the first half.

 

With the loss, Colorado fell to 156-69 during the month of December.  They are 2-1 in December this season. 

Colorado State improved to 5-0 within the confines of Moby Arena this season.  Colorado fell to 1-2 away from home.

 

Meagan Malcolm-Peck tied a career-high with 12 points, matching her output against Georgia Southern. 

Chucky Jeffery had a career high eight rebounds, passing her previous best of seven against UC Irvine.

 

This was the Buffs' first loss of the season when they have led at the half. 

CU suffered its lowest point production in this series since November 29, 2006.

 

Colorado tied its lowest point total of the season and had its lowest field goal percentage since shooting 30.4 percent (17-of-56) at Texas A&M on Feb. 14, 2009.
