CHULA VISTA, Calif. ? The University of Colorado women's golf team was unable to finish its second round due to heavy rain conditions in the San Diego State Aztec Invitational here Monday.

After the first round, Colorado was initially reported as standing in a tie for eighth place, but a data entry error was later identified and the Buffs were bumped back in the standings and actually finished day one in 12th place.

Unofficially, with a number of golfers in the field unable to complete their second round, Colorado sits in a tie for sixth place, while San Jose State now leads the field on the 6,187, par 72 Salt Creek Golf Course.

Freshman Emily Childs, who, along with junior Dominique Pytlewski was CU's top finisher after round one, was forced to withdraw from today's round due to a hand injury and will not complete the remainder of the tournament.

The second round of the Aztec Invitational will finish Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.  The third and final round will start immediately after round two is completed.  Fans who wish to follow the action can visit www.golfstat.com.
