Campbell Takes Eighth At Last Chance Meet

AMES, Iowa ? University of Colorado senior Ryan Campbell placed eighth overall in the 200-meter dash at the Iowa State Last Chance Qualifier on Saturday afternoon.
Campbell took second in his heat and ran a mark of 21.15 seconds, which is a season-best. He was trying to get a qualifying time for the NCAA Championship but his bid fell short as he had to finish in under 21 seconds. Campbell's personal record is 21.02, which he set in 2007 and was the CU record for two years until his teammate, Jeremy Dodson, broke it this season.
Three Buffs, Jenny Barringer, Dodson and Kenyon Neuman, will represent CU at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship March 13-14, in College Station, Texas.
