Buffs Compete at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas ? Several University of Colorado sprinters competed in the 400-meter hurdles at the 82nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Thursday afternoon.
Toi Windham raced to the best finish by a Buff. She recorded a 31st-place finish after clocking a time of 1 minute, 3.48 seconds in the sixth heat. Her sister, Joi, finished one place behind her (32nd) with a time of 1:03.54 that she ran in the first section of the event. Both came in third in their respective heats.
On the men's side, Adrian Gomez recorded a 33rd-place finish in his collegiate hurdle debut. He finished in 55.13 seconds and was fourth in his section. Matthew McCathran was 41st overall with a time of 55.81 and took fifth in his heat.
Tomorrow the Buffs will compete in the women's 4x100-meter relay, the men's and women's 4x400-meter relays and several other individual sprint prelim races.
