Colorado has now lost six straight and eight of its last nine
Colorado drops its eighth straight against Oklahoma as the Sooners narrow the Buffaloes series lead to 33-22.
Colorado drops its 18th straight against ranked teams and 15th straight against teams ranked in both AP and WBCA Coaches polls (Iowa State was ranked only in the WBCA poll in the meeting earlier this season as was Kansas State in two meetings in 2008-09).
Colorado drops its 20th straight road game against the Big 12 Southern Division dating back to a 69-59 win at Baylor on Jan. 7, 2004.
Colorado registered 10 steals, marking the 11th time this season the Buffaloes have recorded double-digits in steals, the team's best mark since recording 12 such games in 2003-04.
Junior Brittany Spears scored 28 points as she moved from 13th to 11th on CU's all-time scoring list with 1,398. She passed Diane Hiemstra (1,376 from 1981-84) and Mandy Nightingale (1,386 from 1998-02) and needs just one more to catch Jenny Roulier (1,399 from 1998-02) to enter CU's top 10 in scoring.
Spears's 12 field goals tied a career-high set against UMass on Nov. 28, 2008. Her 12 field goals were a team season-high and moved her into 14th on CU's all-time list for field goals made with 507, passing Britt Hartshorn who had 501 from 1998-02.
Sophomore guard Alyssa Fressle recorded 11 points for the second-straight game, the first time this season she's scored double digits in back-to-back games.
Junior guard Chelsea Dale played 14 minutes, her most in a Big 12 game, and recorded her first steal of the season and first since her freshman year (2007-08).
Junior guard Kelly Jo Mullaney has hit a 3-pointer in three straight games, making 4-of-6 in that span. She has also played 20 minutes in her last three games.
Senior guard Bianca Smith made three 3-pointers giving her 14 games this season with three or more 3-pointers. She increases her season total to 64, the eighth-best single-season total in team history and just 16 off her own school record of 80 she made in 2007-08.
