
Buffs Tennis Blanked at No. 2 Baylor

WACO, Texas - The University of Colorado women's tennis team dropped its second Big 12 Conference match in three days, falling to the No. 2 nationally ranked Baylor Bears, 7-0, Sunday afternoon at the Baylor Tennis Center.
The loss drops the Buffaloes to 10-10 overall and 3-6 in the conference, while the Bears won for the 14th straight time improving to 21-2 overall and remaining unbeaten in the conference at 9-0.
Baylor entered the match with four nationally ranked singles players and took five of singles slots in straight sets. At No. 2, senior Melisa Esposito won the opening set over the nation's No. 18 ranked player, 6-3, however lost the next pair to Nina Secerbegovic, 6-2, 1-0 (10-5).
Senior Monica Milewski suffered her first conference loss in seven matches, falling to No. 5 ranked Lenka Broosova, 6-3, 6-2. It's also Milewski's first loss in nearly a month and only her second defeat in her last 13 matches.
Colorado wraps up the regular season with a pair of home matches against No. 34 Texas A&M (Friday, April 23, 1 p.m.) and No. 20 Texas (Sunday, April 25, 11 a.m.). Both matches will be played at the South Campus Courts.
