Hedelund Jensen, who also won on Friday at Air Force, defeated Stephanie Jasper, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 at the No. 3 slot for her 43rd career singles win. Hedelund Jensen also picked up her eighth career win in three-set matches.
After dropping the doubles point in two of three matches, CU found itself done 3-0 after dropping the No. 1 and No. 2 positions in straight sets.
Hedelund Jensen made the team score, 3-1, then the No. 38 ranked Broncos added singles wins at the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 positions to round out the final tally.
Boise State improves 2-0 on the season after defeating Denver, 5-2 on Friday night. The Broncos trail 5-3 all-time against the Buffs in the series, however have won the last three with victories in 2009, 2010, and 2011.
"This is a great group of girls to work with," CU head coach Nicole Kenneally said. "Every match is going to be a discovery for us and the season is going to be a process and excited for that time. Every day we keep learning about ourselves as a team and as individuals. We have two weeks before our next match, and we're excited to get to work and to practice for Utah."
CU (1-1) returns to action with a four-match home-stand at the Meadows Club in Boulder starting on Feb. 5 against Utah. CU will also host Metro State (Feb. 12), Oregon (Feb. 18) and New Mexico (Feb. 20).
