Buffs Top Falcons In OT, 76-73

November 23, 2011 | Men's Basketball

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) - Askia Booker hit a 3-pointer and Andre Roberson got a key block and layup in overtime to help Colorado to a 76-73 victory over Air Force on Wednesday night.

"Tonight we took major steps backwards," head coach Tad Boyle said following the victory. "Again, it's one game so we can't make a big deal out of it, but we have to come back after Thanksgiving ready to roll."

Nate Tomlinson led Colorado (3-2) with 19 points on 4 of 7 shooting from 3-point range. Carlon Brown added 16 points, and Roberson had 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Michael Lyons had a career-high 31 points for Air Force (3-1). The Falcons' scrambling defense forced 18 turnovers, turning the mistakes into 27 points.

The Buffs return to action on Monday night to take on the Georgia Bulldogs at the Coors Events Center.
