The win marks the first postseason win for CU head coach Linda Lappe

She will join Rene Portland (22-9 in 1978-79) and Sox Walseth (28-5 in 1980-81) as CU women's basketball coaches who have finished their inaugural season at .500 or better.

She also tied Van Goor for eighth on CU's career free throw list at 343. Spears moved into third place on CU's all-time list for 3-pointers with 226. She passed Mandy Nightingale who had 224 from 1998-02.
