Big 12 T&F Championship On ROOT SPORTS

BOULDER -The 2011 Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championship will be broadcast tape-delayed on Saturday, May 21 from 12-2 p.m. on ROOT SPORTS (Rocky Mountain Region).
Colorado had several outstanding performances at the meet. Sophomore Joe Bosshard won the 5,000 and 10,000-meter run titles in meet record time. He finished the 5k in 13 minutes, 50.62 seconds and won the 10k title in 28:52.85, which was also a John Jacobs Track Complex Stadium record. Senior Matt Tebo also had a great performance at the meet. He scored 11 points for the Buffs as he was the 5k runner-up and placed sixth in the 10k.
Junior Emma Coburn won her second straight Big 12 steeplechase title after running 9:57.39, the second fastest time in conference meet history.
The Buffs placed eighth in the men's team competition, while the women were 10th. Texas A&M won both team titles. The championship was contested May 13-15 in Norman, Okla.
Colorado is back in action May 26-28 at the 2011 NCAA West Preliminary Championship in Eugene, Ore.
