Colorado falls in the first round for the third time in 13 trips. The Buffaloes overall record is now 17-13, and 0-1 under head coach Linda Lappe.

Kansas' 37 first half points are the second-most allowed by Colorado this season.

In the 69th meeting between the two schools, Kansas improves its slim margin to 36-33, and the Jayhawks are now 12-18 in Boulder.

Colorado is now 24-1 vs. unranked teams this season with Kansas handing the Buffaloes their first of the year.

Kansas is now 3-6 vs. top 25 teams this season and 11-55 under head coach Bonnie Henrickson.

After leading by as many as 10 points in the first frame, Colorado suffered a 6-minute scoring drought midway through the frame, allowing Kansas to cut the deficit to just two points. A 13-2 Jayhawk run 1 minute later gave Kansas its first lead since the opening basket.

Colorado's Chucky Jeffery shot a season-low .125 field-goal percentage (2-16).

CU's freshman Arielle Roberson tallied the third double-double of her career with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Colorado's Jamee Swan swatted a career-high four shots.

Colorado shot a season-low .254 field-goal percentage.

This is KU's sixth consecutive victory over its former Big 12 rival, CU.

Kansas' sixth free-throws attempted is the fewest all-time for the Jayhawks in the NCAA tournament, but shooting a perfect 6-of-6 from the line is their highest ever percentage.

The Jayhawks' seven blocks tie for the second most in program history at the NCAA Championship.

Kansas' 16 field-goals and 52 points allowed are the fewest and second fewest, respectively, in the Jayhawks 13-year NCAA tournament history. It is also an opponent's lowest field-goal percentage for KU in the event (.254)

KU's Angel Goodrich tied a team NCAA record with eight assists with Lisa Braddy (vs. Middle-Tennessee on March 16, 1988).

This is the second year in a row that Kansas upset a former Big 12 foe in the NCAA first round. Last season the Jayhawks defeated Nebraska, 57-49.
