PULLMAN, Wash. — Live updates from the Buffs 12th game of the year at Washington State.

The Buffs fall to 4-8, 1-7 in the Pac-12, with the 27-3 loss at Washington State. Some stats:
Apsay 26-of-40 for 238 yards, 2 INT
Lindsay 16 rushes, 78 yards
Spruce 10 catches, 120 yards
On defense: Awuzie, Gamboa both with 9 tackles. Oliver, Crawley 2 PBUs. Thompson 1 INT. Kafovalu 1 sack.
3:51 LEFT 4TH QUARTER
After starting at its 2 yard line, Washington State went 72 yards in 11 plays and kicked a 37-yard field goal to make it 27-3.
7:42 LEFT 4TH QUARTER
Tedric Thompson got his second interception of the season and the Buffs got all the way to the WSU 2 yard line before a bad snap on fourth down forced a turnover on downs. Spruce did get his 10th catch of the game on the drive, his seventh career 10 catch game (a CU record) and second of the season. It also gave him 84 catches, and he passed Paul Richardson and now owns the first and second spots on the seaosn receiving chart.
11:41 LEFT 4TH QUARTER
The Buffs put together a 9 play drive. After a 3rd-and-7, Apsay was sacked for a loss of 12 yards, the Buffs went for it on 4th-and-19, and Apsay suffered his second interception of the game. Taylor Tailulu returned the interception 42 yards to the CU 42 yard line.
14:25 LEFT 4TH QUARTER
After the Buffs finally get on the board, Washington State responds with a 76 yard TD drive to push the lead to 24-3. Backup QB Peyton Bender was 7-of-8 on the drive with the 16 yard score to Gabe Marks.
2:44 LEFT 3RD QUARTER
The Buffs finally got on the board after a missed field goal by WSU. The Buffs moved 66 yards in 10 plays, with the big play a 33-yard Phillip Lindsay field goal. Diego Gonzales finally connected, hitting a 24-yard field goal to cut WSU's lead to 17-3.
7:16 LEFT 3RD QTR
Following a CU punt, the Cougars drove into CU territory, but a sack by CU's Samson Kafovalu on WSU quarterback Luke Falk left Falk motionless on the ground. Falk's head slammed into the turf on the play, and he was taken from the field on a stretcher. Falk gave a thumbs up to the crowd as he was carried off.
Peyton Bender replaced Falk and threw for a first down, but the drive later stalled and an Erik Powell 44-yard field goal try was wide and the score remained 17-0.
10:47 LEFT 3RD QTR
CU's defense came up with a big stop after a Cade Apsay interception gave WSU possession in CU territory. The Buffs forced five Luke Falk incompletions on the drive and the Cougars settled for a 31-yard Erik Powell field goal for a 17-0 lead with 10:47 left in the third quarter.

Colorado's first possession of the third quarter didn't end well. On third and long, Cade Apsay overthrew Nelson Spruce and the pass was intercepted by Charleston White. WSU took possession at the CU 46 on the turnover

HALFTIME
After a second missed CU field goal, the Buffs forced a WSU punt that pinned Colorado at its own 3-yard line with 1:17 left in the half. The Buffs ran two plays and let the clock expire to go into the locker room trailing 14-0 at halftime.
3:19 REMAINING 2nd QTR
Colorado once again came away empty after driving deep into WSU territory. The Buffs moved from their own 15 to the Washington State 16, converting a fourth-and-7 in the process. Cade Apsay had a 29-yard completion to Nelson Spruce, then an 11-yarder on fourth down to keep the drive alive. But Diego Gonzalez was wide right again from 33 yards out and WSU maintained its 14-0 lead.

After WSU's first score, Colorado returned the kick to the WSU 38, but managed just one first down, a 22-yard Cade Apsay completion to Nelson Spruce. An Alex Kinney punt pinned the Cougars back on their own 4, but Luke Falk guided a 10-play, 96-yard touchdown drive that culminated with an 11-yard touchdown pass to Dom Williams. Falk was 20-for-22 after the drive for 159 yards in the game as WSU took a 14-0 lead with 10:14 left in the second quarter.

1:17 REMAINING 1ST QTR
The Buffs held WSU on fourth-and-6 in CU territory, but then failed on their own fourth-down try from the CU 42. WSU then took seven plays to drive 42 yards to the end zone. The big play was a 29-yard Luke Falk pass to Dom Williams on fourth-and-6 that put the ball at CU's 9-yard line. Three plays lter, Keith Harrington scored from 1 yard out and the ensuing PAT gave WSU a 7-0 lead with 1:17 left i the first quarter.

10:26 REMAINING FIRST QTR
After giving up a 17-yard pass on first down, the Colorado defense stiffened and forced a WSU punt. Colorado took over at its own 21 and drove into WSU territory, converting a third-and-9 on a Cade Apsay 11-yard completion to Shay Fields. The drive stalled at the WSU 30, and a 47-yard FG try by Diego Gonzalez was wide right.
