NOTING THE FIRST ROUND WIN: No. 9 seed Colorado claimed a 75-63 win over No. 8 USC in the first round of the 2015 Pac-12 Tournament on Thursday.

Colorado improves to 4-3 all-time at the Pac-12 Tournament. The Buffaloes have won at least one tournament game, reaching the quarterfinals, in each season they've been in the event.

Three of those four wins have come as the lower seed. Overall the
Buffaloes are 33-27 in conference tournament games.

HOT NIGHT SHOOTING: Colorado shot 53.2 percent (25-of-47) against USC in the first round, its second-best shooting performance of the season, trailing only the 57.9 percent (33-of-57) shot against UCLA on Jan. 11 in Boulder.

Colorado's 47 field goal attempts were its second lowest of the season, trailing the 43 attempted at Arizona State on March 1. The Buffaloes 71.4 percent from 3-point range was its best team mark on the season.

NOT BAD FROM THE LINE EITHER: Colorado hit 20-of-23 from the free throw line (.870) marking the 12th time in the last 16 games the Buffaloes have made at least 75 percent and are 80 percent over the last eight games (136-of-170).

Colorado is second in the Pac-12 in free throw accuracy at 75.2 percent. That mark currently ranks as the seventh best single-season percentage in team history.

JAMEE SWAN (15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 blocks, 5-of-8 FG, 5-of-5 FT): Jamee Swan increased her blocked shots total to 59, ranking sixth on Colorado's single-season list. She registered her team-best 21st double figure scoring game of the year. It was also her 11th game of the season with at least three blocked shots. Swan made all five free throw attempts rebounding from the ASU game where she made just 1-of-5.

HALEY SMITH (16 points, 6-of-10 FG, 4-of-4 FT): Haley Smith recorded her 13th game in double-digits and achieved her highest point total since scoring 19 against UCLA on Jan. 11. She hit all four free throw attempts putting herself at 91.4 percent since the beginning of the Pac-12 season (32-of-35). It was her 10th game with at least 10 field goal attmepts and her fourth time of hitting at least 50 percent in those instances.

LEXY KRESL (12 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists 4-of-6 FG, 4-of-4 FT): Lexy Kresl dished out seven assists, her most since her career-high of 11 against Colorado State on Nov. 29. She is averaging 5.8 assists over the last four games. She hit all four foul shots and has made 41 of her last 45 from the charity stripe (.911). Kresl played in her 123rd career game tying for 15th on CU's all-time list. She moved up to 16th in career minutes played at 3,111.

LAUREN HUGGINS (11 points, 4-of-4 FG, 3-of-3 3FG): Lauren Huggins scored in double digits for the fourth time this season and first since a 12-point outing against San Jose State on Dec. 5. She has made 12 of her last 22 from 3-point range (.545) including 5-of-7 in the last two (.714).

ALINA HARTMANN (6 points, 2-of-2 3FG): Alina Hartmann tied her career high with a pair of 3-pointers.

THE OREGON STATE SERIES: This will be the ninth meeting between Colorado and Oregon State with the Buffaloes holding a 5-3 series lead. Oregon State won the lone meeting in the regular season, a 66-44 decision in Boulder on Feb. 22. This will be the first Pac-12 Tournament or postseason meeting.
