Orejel Set To Train With Mexican U-20 National Team

BOULDER – Freshman Joss Orejel of the University of Colorado women's soccer team has accepted an invitation to train with the Mexican Under-20 National team this week, April 19-25.
Orejel and the team will travel to Michigan, Illinois and Indiana as the squad is scheduled to play three matches over the seven-day stretch. Their first match is slated for April 19 at the University of Chicago and then they travel to South Bend, Ind. to play two more contests later in the week. They face the Michigan Wolverines on April 22 and conclude competition on April 24 against Notre Dame.
In 2014, Orejel's first season competing for the Buffaloes, the Tustin, Calif. native competed in 14 matches, logging over 650 minutes. The defender made seven starts, the most of any freshmen and tallied three assists.
Orejel joins incoming freshman Alex Vidger as the second Buff in the last two weeks to receive an invite to play with a U-20 national team. Last week, Vidger spent time at the United States U-20 Women's National Team camp in Carson, Calif.
