Seven Buffs Headed To NCAA Outdoor Championships

BOULDER - The University of Colorado is sending seven athletes to compete at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, June 10-13, in Eugene, Ore.
Junior Abrianna Torres advanced to NCAAs after finishing the regular season ranked 22nd in the heptathlon, while six others qualified for nationals at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Austin, Texas, May 28-30. Torres joins senior Sara Sutherland (1,500) and redshirt freshman Erin Clark (3k steeplechase), as well as junior Pierce Murphy (10,000), junior Morgan Pearson (5,000), sophomore Ben Saarel (1,500) and junior Connor Winter (3k steeplechase) at NCAAs.
This is the first trip to outdoor nationals for Clark, Murphy, Pearson, Torres and Winter, while it's the second trip for Saarel and Sutherland. Saarel placed 16th in the 1,500 semis in 2014, while Sutherland raced the 5k (15th overall) in 2012 while a member of the Texas Longhorns.
