Colorado-Iowa State Time Changed To 3 p.m., On ESPN2
August 31, 2015 | Men's Basketball
BOULDER – Tip-off time for the Colorado –Iowa State men's basketball game scheduled for Friday, Nov. 13, has been moved to 3 p.m. MST and will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
The neutral site game, already sold out at the 3,200-seat Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D., had originally been scheduled for a 6 p.m. MST tip.
Colorado will be highlighted heavily on the network that day. The football team is slated to host USC at Folsom Field later that night with a 7 p.m. kickoff on ESPN2.
This will be the 148th meeting between the former Big 12 Conference rivals with Iowa State holding a 77-70 series edge. The two teams last met in the first round of the 2011 Big 12 Championship, a 77-75 Colorado victory. It will be Colorado's fifth matchup with a former Big 12 foe dating back to the Buffaloes joining the Pac-12 Conference for the 2011-12 season.
Colorado's first two games will now be carried on of the ESPN Family of Networks. The Buffs will play at Auburn on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. MST on the network's flagship station during the ESPN College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.
Colorado's Pac-12 schedule and season-long television lineup will be announced at a later date.
The Pentagon's appearance on ESPN will mark the third time the venue has been featured on national television for a men's basketball game. The Wisconsin and St. John's contest was carried live by the Big Ten Network in 2013, and last year's game between Wichita State and Memphis aired as part of ESPN's Tip-Off Marathon.
