Men's Basketball Pac-12 Schedule, TV Lineup Announced

September 10, 2015 | Men's Basketball

BOULDER – The 2015-16 Pac-12 Conference men's basketball schedule and the University of Colorado's television lineup was announced by the league office on Thursday.

Colorado will have 30 televised games during the regular season which includes the entire Pac-12 schedule. The Buffaloes will have 18 games on the Pac-12 Network, seven on the ESPN Family of Networks, five on Fox Sports 1 and one on ROOT Sports.

A balanced Pac-12 schedule awaits the Buffaloes. Aside from one three-game home stand, Colorado will alternate each week with two games at home, two on the road.

“The Pac-12 schedule is always demanding, and I believe the league is as well balanced this year, as it has been since we joined the conference four years ago,” head coach Tad Boyle said. “We're excited about the season ahead and the opportunities that await us.”

The Buffaloes will ring in the New Year in the Bay Area, opening Pac-12 play at California on Friday, Jan. 1 (9 p.m. MT, Pac-12) and Stanford on Sunday, Jan. 3 (8 p.m., ESPNU).

Colorado's next three are at home, beginning with Utah on Friday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m. on FOX Sports 1. Oregon State visits the Coors Events Center on Wednesday, Jan. 13 (9 p.m., ESPNU) while Oregon will be in Boulder on Sunday, Jan. 17 (5 p.m., Pac-12).

The Southern California schools will not visit Boulder this season as the Buffaloes play single games at USC on Wednesday, Feb. 17 (9 p.m., ESPNU) and UCLA on Saturday, Feb. 20 (9 p.m., FOX Sports 1). In turn, Colorado strays from the desert in '16, as defending league champion Arizona visits Boulder on Wednesday, Feb. 24, in a primetime matchup on ESPN2 (7 p.m.) in the only meeting of the season.

Other Colorado Pac-12 home games include Stanford on Wednesday, Jan. 27 (7 p.m., Pac-12), California on Sunday, Jan. 31 (3 p.m., FOX Sports 1), Washington State on Thursday, Feb. 11 (8 p.m., Pac-12), Washington on Saturday, Feb. 13 (12 p.m., Pac-12) and Arizona State on Sunday, Feb. 28 (2:30 p.m., Pac-12).

Television and game times were also finalized for Colorado's nonconference schedule. The Buffaloes step right onto the national stage with a challenging back-to-back start against Iowa State and Auburn.

CU and its former Big Eight/Big 12 rival Iowa State hook up at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls S.D., on Friday, Nov. 13, for a 3 p.m. tip on ESPN2. The Buffaloes travel to Auburn on Tuesday, Nov. 17, for a 1 p.m. game during ESPN's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.

“We're jumping in to the deep end of the pool right away,” Boyle said. “With Iowa State, a preseason Top 5 team, and then going on the road to Auburn; away from home for our first two games on national television will give us a good sense of where we are right out of the chute.”

All eight of Colorado's nonconference home games will air on the Pac-12 Network, including Air Force on Wednesday, Nov. 25 (7 p.m.), Northern Colorado on Sunday Nov. 29 (1 p.m.) and BYU on Saturday, Dec. 12 (6 p.m.). The Buffaloes will travel north to face Colorado State on Sunday, Dec. 6, set for a 12 p.m. tip on ROOT Sports.

Colorado men's basketball season tickets are on sale now and start at $170 for the 17-game home schedule. For more information contact the CU Athletic Ticket Office at 303-49BUFFS or visit CUBuffs.com/tickets.
