COACH ELLIOTT ON NEMIROV: “Sam is a strong athlete, with great speed and a passion for the game. We were instantly drawn to her based on her work ethic and competitiveness. She never gives up on a play and strives to be the best. She has the ability to dodge and feed on offense and we are excited to add her to our program.”
HIGH SCHOOL: Nemirov earned three letters playing lacrosse at Ward Melville High School in Setauket, New York. In addition to lacrosse, she earned four letters on the field hockey team and in her junior year, she was named All-Division for both lacrosse and hockey. Her senior year, she was All-County in both lacrosse and field hockey. As a senior on the lacrosse team, she finished with 68 points, 32 goals and 36 assists.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Nemirov is majoring in integrative physiology.
PERSONAL: Samantha Nemirov was born in Setauket, N.Y. on March 21, 1997 to parents Michael and Jamie Nemirov. She enjoys snowboarding and going to the beach. Her older brothers, David and Danny Nemirov, both played lacrosse at Bowdoin College and Cornell University, respectively. After graduation, Nemirov would like to pursue a career in health sciences.
