Harriers Head To Pre-Nationals

BOULDER - The University of Colorado cross country teams are set to compete at the NCAA Pre-National Invitational Terre Haute, Ind. on Saturday, October 15.
 
The CU women are ranked second in the USTFCCCA poll, while the men's team is ranked sixth. The Buffs are fresh off winning the men's and women's Division I titles at the Rocky Mountain Shootout two weeks ago and both teams did so in dominate fashion, winning with perfect team scores (15).
 
Several of the nation's top teams will be competing alongside the Buffs this weekend. The men will see No. 4 Oregon, No. 5 Arkansas, No. 7 Portland and four other top-30 programs. The women will race against No. 5 Portland, No. 7 Stanford, No. 9 Oregon, as well as four other top-30 teams.
 
Pre-Nationals is split into two team races for the men and women due to the amount of teams competing. The first race of the day, the women's 6,000-meter blue race, will kick off the day at 11 a.m. ET. The men's 8k race is to follow at 11:35 a.m. The white races will go after the blue race, with the women and men racing at 12:15 p.m. and 12:50 p.m., respectively. The open races will follow the white races. The women's race is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and the men will run at 2:05 p.m. All race time listed are Eastern.
 
Race results will be posted at gosycamores.com and XCTownUSA.com after the competition of each race. Live results will be available at http://www.rtspt.com/events/ncaa/prenats16/.  The official social media hashtag for the event is #PreNats2016.
 
Indiana State is hosting the meet and will also serve as the host of the NCAA Championships on Nov. 19. Results will be posted at gosycamores.com upon the completion of the meet.
