Weather: High of 82 in Boulder today. Teamps expected to be high 70s at kickoff and in the mid 60s throughout the game. Zero percent chance of precipitation and humidity hovering below 20 percent with very light winds.

Pregame Notes:

In the last two games, the Buffs have forced eight fumbles, recovering three, all last week at USC. The Buffs are the only team in the country to have forced four fumbles in a game more than once. Jimmie Gilbert leads the nation with four forced fumbles. The CU record for a season is 7 by Jashon Sykes in 1999. The Buffs have forced a turnover in 19 straight games, the longest streak in the nation.
RB Phillip Lindsay needs just 35 all-purpose yards to hit 3,000 in his career and become the 13th player in program history to hit that mark. He also needs just three receiving yards to become the 14th member of CU's 500/500 club, 500-plus yards rushing and receiving. Additionally, he needs 61 rushing yards to become the 29th CU player to rush for 1,500 career yards.
Tedric Thompson is looking to start his 20th consecutive game against ASU, if he does he will have the longest streak on the team. He had 31 career starts, one of five Buffs with 30-plus including Josh Tupou (37), Chidobe Awuzie (34), Sefo Liufau (32) and Alex Kelly (32).
Sefo Liufau is questionable before the game. He made his first career start against the Sun Devils and in three games has 836 passing yards, a CU record for most passing yards against one opponent.
This is the 102nd Homecoming game all-time for the Buffs, and CU is 61-35-5 all-time, although just 4-12 in the last 16 after rattling off 16 straight wins from 1984-99.
Herb Orvis will be honored today for his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame. He's the eighth Buff to enter the Hall of Fame, joining Byron White (inducted 1952), Joe Romig (1984), Dick Anderson (1993), Bobby Anderson (2006), Alfred Williams (2010), John Wooten (2012) and coach Bill McCartney (2013).
There is a reunion for the 1970s football teams in honor of Orvis, and some other sports are boasting reunions this weekend. The 20th Anniversary for the Colorado Soccer program is this season and several alumnae represending most of those teams are here this weekend and in attendance at the game. The 46th annual Ski Ball is also this weekened, bringing back many alumni for the program. The Ski Ball this season is recognizing the 40 years of women's skiing at CU.

Colorado wins the toss for sixth time (in seven games) this year. Buffs kickoff and defend south goal.

FIRST QUARTER

-- Buffs kicked off to ASU and immediately forced a three-and-out.
-- Colorado then marched 81 yards in 10 plays for a touchdown following an ASU punt. Starting quarterback Sefo Lifuau completed three passes on the drive and the Buffs ran for 55 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown run from Kyle Evans up the middle. CU's offensive line opened up a huge hole and Evans rolled in for the score.
-- CU's defense once again forced an ASU punt after giving up just one first down. A Jimmie Gilbert tackle of QB Manny Wilkins behind the line of scrimmage on third down forced the Sun Devils to punt and Colorado took possession at its own 20-yard line.
-- Buffs were unable to move the ball on their second possession of the night. A Phillip Lindsay run netted just 1 yard and two Liufau passes picked up seven and CU punted to the ASU 26.
-- CU then forced another three-and-out, but the Sun Devils then forced the first turnover of the night as CU's Jay MacIntyre muffed the ensuing punt and the Sun Devils recovered. Arizona State then needed just five plays to convert the miscue into a score, with Wilkins throwing a 5-yard scoring pass to Kody Kohl to knot the game at 7-7-.
SECOND QUARTER
-- Colorado took the ensuing kickoff and immediately marched deep into ASU territory. Evans ran for 3 yards to convert a third down, then caught a 32-yard pass from Liufau before running for 10 more yards to the ASU 6. The drive stalled there, however, and the Buffs settled for a 20-yard Davis Price field goal for a 10-7 lead with 12:54 to go in the second quarter.
-- ASU quickly answered with the tying field goal. A 37-yard run from Demario Richard put the Sun Devils in CU territory and while Colorado then held, ASU was close enough for Zane Gonzalez to deliver a 51-yard field goal and 10-10 tie.
-- The Buffs needed just 1:46 to regain the lead after ASU tied the game. Liufau kept a play alive and hit a wide-open Bryce Bobo for a 66-yard gain, then took the ball in himself from 3 yards out, getting a great block from Sean Irwin on the play. CU went 75 yards in four plays on the drive for a 17-10 lead.
-- The Buffs defense then forced another 3-and-out and Colorado needed just 2:10 to extend its lead. CU converted a third-and-10 on a 15-yard Liufau pass to Devin Ross and CU methodically drove into ASU territory. Lindsay then capped the drive with a 13-yard scoring run that showed great second effort. The PAT was no good, but CU still lead 23-10 with 4:47 to go in the half.
-- The Buffs then forced another 3-and-out on ASU's next possession, but Colorado couldn't move the ball and punted. ASU took possession at its own 15 with 1:54 to go in the half and CU still leading, 23-10.

THIRD QUARTER
-- The Buffs took the opening kickoff and needed just one play and 12 seconds to increase their lead to 30-10. Lindsay got great blocks up front from Gerrad Kough and Jeromy Irwin, broke into the secondary and then rambled 75 yards for a touchdown.
-- Colorado's defense then forced another 3-and-out, but ASU's ensuing punt pinned the Buffs at their own 5 and they couldn't move the ball. CU then punted and ASU returned the ball to CU's 30-yard line.
-- CU's defense came up big again. A second-and-long sack by Kenneth Olugbode and Rick Gamboa put the Sun Devils in third-and-long, which yielded an incompletion. ASU then settled for a 50-yard Gonzalez field goal and CU led 30-13.
-- The Buffs then missed an opportunity to extend their lead. CU drove from its own 25 inside the ASU 10, getting a 15-yard Liufau pass to Lindsay, an 18-yard Lindsay run and a 16-yard Evans run. But, the drive stalled and Price was wide right on a 20-yard FG try.
-- ASU then threatened when a 44-yard completion on third-and-long put the Sun Devils in CU territory. But on another third down, a blitzing Addison Gillam forced Wilkins to put a pass up for grabs and Afolabi Laguda intercepted for CU. It extended CU's streak with at least one defensive takeaway to a nation-leading 20 games.
-- The Buffs took the turnover and converted it into 3 points. CU moved from its own 20 to the ASU 16, with the big play of the drive a 26-yard Liufau pass to Jay MacIntyre. Chris Graham booted a 36-yard field goal and CU led 33-13 with 1:50 left in the period.
-- Colorado's defense continued to be a puzzle ASU couldn't solve. The Sun Devils produced another 3-and-out and the Buffs took over at their own 29 following an ASU punt.
FOURTH QUARTER

-- The two teams then traded punts early in the fourth quarter, with neither being able to mount any kind of offensive threat.
-- Colorado then forced another ASU punt, but another CU fumble on the return handed the ball back to the Sun Devils in CU territory. ASU took possession at the Colorado 32 and despite going backward after an Addison Gillam sack, put 3 points on the board o a 59-yard Gonzalez field goal to cut CU's lead to 33-16. It was the second-longest field goal in Folsom Field history, trailing only a 60-yarder from former Buff Mason Crosby.
