Buffs Hit The Road For Battle At North Dakota State

BOULDER - Colorado's women's basketball team will hit the road for a game at North Dakota State on Tuesday. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. at Scheels Center in Fargo.
CU is fresh off a 79-69 upset against No. 15/19 Kentucky on Saturday at home, and is now 3-0 on the season. CU also has wins over Northern Colorado and Air Force from the season's opening weekend. Sophomore guards Kennedy Leonard and Alexis Robinson have paced the Buffs offensively, averaging 20.0 and 19.3 points, respectively. Leonard is also dishing out 9.7 assists per game, while committing just one turnover per contest. She had 14 points and 12 assists for her third career double-double against Kentucky. Robinson is also averaging 4.3 assists and is shooting 53.5 percent from the floor. Senior wing Haley Smith has been a do-it-all player so far this season, averaging 12.7 points and 6.3 rebounds, while leading the team in steals and blocked shots.
NDSU is led by junior Taylor Thunstedt, who paces the team with a scoring average of 15.0. Senior forward Emily Spier has been a strong presence on the boards and averages 11.3 points and 8.7 rebounds. The Bison are 1-2 through three games, defeating NAIA opponent Dickinson State (N.D.) to open the year, before dropping road games at UMass and Providence.
Tuesday's game will be televised on MidcoSN and will be streamed live on ESPN3 through the WatchESPN app.
