March 31, 2016 | Volleyball

BOULDER — After practicing for nearly a month, the University of Colorado volleyball is eager to kick off its spring competition schedule this weekend.

“We are excited and looking forward to the competition phase of our spring training,” head coach Jesse Mahoney said. “We are making strides daily in the gym, and our staff is pleased with the progress we are making overall. The level of competition we will see in the coming weeks will show us where we need to continue to improve and will help us focus our efforts.”

The Buffs have their first contests on Saturday, April 2, against Wichita State and Kansas. On April 9, CU will head to Laramie, Wyo. to face Wyoming and Colorado State. The Buffs will play a home contest against Northern Colorado on April 21 at 6 p.m. in the Coors Events Center and will wrap up spring competition on April 23 against reigning NCAA Champion, Nebraska, in Ogallala, Neb.
