Buffs To Host Final Two Home Games Of 2016

BOULDER - Colorado's lacrosse team will play its final two home games of the 2016 season this weekend. The Buffaloes will host Saint Mary's at 3 p.m. on Friday and California at noon on Sunday. Both games will be played at Kittredge Field.

CU is 9-4 this season and 4-2 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation and coming off a 16-3 win over San Diego State on Sunday. Sarah Lautman will be the first CU senior in school history to go through Senior Day on Sunday. The third-year player ranks among the program's best in nearly every category during tenure and has 20 goals, 22 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers this season. Johnna Fusco has a team-high 26 goals and is the reigning conference offensive player of the week. CU's defense ranked 14th in the nation, allowing just 7.62 goals per game.

Saint Mary's enters the weekend 0-10 overall and 0-5 in the MPSF. The Gaels are led by Hanna Dalrymple, who has 10 goals, four assists and 23 draw controls.

Cal is 3-9 overall and 1-4 in the MPSF. The Golden Bears have lost their past six games heading into the weekend. Elizabeth Pellechi has a team-high 19 goals. In CU's two previous matchups with Cal, the Golden Bears have prevailed both times by a combined three goals.
