Nine Buffs Headed To NCAA Outdoor Championships

BOULDER – The Buffaloes are sending nine athletes to compete at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, June 8-11, in Eugene, Ore.
The group is comprised of three men and six women. The six women is the largest group to attend the championships for Colorado since 1999.
Seniors Pierce Murphy (10,000-meters) and Morgan Pearson (5,000), are representing the men with sophomore Adam Peterman (steeplechase). The women's team will be made of up senior Maddie Alm (1,500), sophomores Kaitlyn Benner (5,000), Mackenzie Caldwell (10,000), Erin Clark (steeplechase), Val Constien (steeplechase) and freshman Dani Jones (1,500).
This is the first trip to outdoor nationals for Alm, Benner, Caldwell, Constien, Jones and Peterman, while it's the second trip for Clark, Murphy and Pearson.
The entire meet will either be streamed live or televised by ESPN. Live results can be accessed on NCAA.com.
