Plenty Of Giveaways For Sunday's Home Opener

BOULDER - While Colorado's soccer team kicks off the 2016 season tonight at Air Force, the fun in Boulder starts on Sunday with the Buffaloes hosting the Colorado Cup at Prentup Field. In conjunction with the home opener at 3 p.m. against Colorado State, CU will have a pair of giveaways in addition to the normal promotions.
The first 350 fans wearing CU gear will receive commemorative 20th anniversary pint glasses as 2016 is the 20th anniversary of the first CU soccer team. The glasses will be distributed after the game to fans that receive vouchers upon entrance to the match. Additionally, early-arriving students to the 3 p.m. match will receive free food courtesy of Half Fast Subs.
The giveaways will be in addition to the normal prizes, contests and promotional items distributed at the CU marketing tent. Other events and promotions this season will be tied to the 20th anniversary of CU soccer.
Two matches will take place prior to CU's match on Sunday at Prentup Field. Air Force and Northern Colorado will begin the day with a 10:30 a.m. match and Denver and Colorado College will follow at 12:45 p.m. with Prentup Field being the main host site for the 2016 Colorado Cup.
