Austin Playing Professionally in Poland

BOULDER — Former Buff Alexis Austin has signed a professional volleyball contract and will continue her playing career in Poland as a member of PTPS.

"I am really excited and beyond blessed for the opportunity to play here [in Poland] and can't wait to see what the future/ season has in store for me," she said.

Austin, an outside hitter, finished her outstanding career with the Buffs last November, playing four seasons (2012-15). She became CU's career kills leader in the rally scoring era, hammering 1,443 and was just the 14th Buff to record 1,000 or more career kills. She also recorded 479 digs, 225 blocks and 1,596.5 points over the course of four seasons.

During her time with the Buffs, she helped CU go from the bottom of the Pac-12 rankings, to the top half of the conference. Colorado also played in two consecutive NCAA Tournaments, each time advancing to the second round.

As a senior in 2015, Austin averaged 4.05 kills per set, which was fifth in the Pac-12, while hitting .260. She also recorded 1.67 digs per set, 0.66 blocks per set and 4.56 points per set. In conference only stats, Austin was fifth in kills (4.22) and points (4.74) per set.

An AVCA honorable mention All-American, Austin was tabbed the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week on Nov. 16 after helping the Buffs sweep then-No. 19 Arizona and then-No. 21 Arizona State. She was also named to the All-Pac-12 and AVCA All-Pacific South Region teams.
