BOULDER — Five University of Colorado golfers, four women and one male, were named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Golf teams that were released Friday by the conference office.

Senior Philip Juel-Berg earned first-team honors as he owned a 3.51 grade point average and graduated earlier this month with a degree in Economics. He was a second-team member as a junior and was honorable mention as a sophomore. He will find out in June if he will repeat as a Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-America Scholar, the equivalent of being an Academic All-American.

Seniors Alexis Keating and Allie Zech were named to the second-team. Keating, who was an honorable mention choice as both a sophomore and junior, owned a 3.56 GPA and graduated with her Communication degree on May 7. Zech, a second-team member as a junior as well, sported a 3.63 grade point in International Affairs, and she, too, graduated three weeks ago.

Junior Esther Lee (a double major in Communication and Anthropology) and sophomore Brittany Fan (Strategic Communication/Advertising with a minor in Business) were named to the honorable mention team.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
