Buffs Ranked 18th For Second Straight Week In AVCA Poll

BOULDER — For the second straight week, the Colorado volleyball team is ranked 18th in the AVCA Division I Coaches Poll.
CU (5-2) recorded 518 points and are one of six Pac-12 Conference teams ranked in the poll. Washington is the highest rated team at fifth. Following the Huskies are: UCLA (11), Stanford (12), Colorado (18), Southern California (21) and Oregon (24). Washington State, another Pac-12 team, is receiving votes. Nebraska is the top ranked team in the poll with a perfect 6-0 record.
The Buffs split a pair of matches last weekend, falling to then-No. 15 San Diego, which is now ranked 10th, before sweeping UC Irvine. This weekend is the final weekend of non-conference action. The Buffs will host the Omni Invitational, Sept. 16-17, at the Coors Events Center. In total, there will be five matches played at the CEC between CU, Chicago State, New Orleans and Colorado State. The Buffs and Rams will meet each other at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 17 for the final match of the tournament.

Single match tickets for most contests start at just $5 for general admission and $8 for reserved seating. Tickets for the second day of the Omni Invitational (Sept. 17), will start at $8 for general admission and $12 for reserved seats. Kids 12 and under are still free.
Season tickets are also available and start at just $25 for general admission, while reserved seats are $40. Fans can purchase single match and season tickets online at CUBuffs.com or by calling 303-49-BUFFS.
And don't forget about the Women's Sports Pass. For just $125, the Women's sports pass gives you general admission seating for all volleyball, soccer and women's basketball home games.
