Terriek Roberts, defensive line, Denver
For many Colorado natives, getting the opportunity to play at a Division I school is their ultimate goal.
For former Denver South standout Terriek Roberts, having the opportunity to play for the University of Colorado is a dream come true.
A four-year varsity letterman at South, the 6-foot-6 defensive lineman was a huge presence on the Rebels football team by the fourth game of his freshman year.
By his senior year, Roberts earned All-Colorado honors from the Denver Post, Six Zero Strength & Fitness and Mile High Sports Magazine; the latter also named him the co-defensive lineman of the year and the recipient of the "Concrete Charlie" Award (presented to the top two-way player).
Six Zero cited him as an All-Colorado honoree on both offense and defense while MHS ranked him as the No. 5 overall prospect in the state of Colorado. He garnered first-team 4A All-State honors (CHSAA) and was a two-time, first-team All-Mountain Conference performer.
As a senior, he allowed just two quarterback sacks, was flagged for just a handful of penalties, and had 11 direct touchdown blocks, as he was a major factor in South averaging 236 yards per game on the ground with 36 rushing touchdowns.
