Today's weather features mostly cloudy skies with temperatures hovering around 77°, low humidity, and zero chances of rain.
- Buffs come into tonight's game with 5-4 record overall, 2-4 in Pac-12 play. One more win makes the Buffs bowl eligible.
- ASU is 4-4, 3-2.
- CU tailback Phillip Lindsay is 454 yards away from breaking the all-time CU rushing yards record held by Eric Bieniemy (3,940). Lindsay leads the FBS this year in carries (240) and is third in total rushing yards (1,254).
- CU kicker James Stefanou was one of 20 kickers this week named a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award.
- Buffs are one of only two Pac-12 schools (and one of 22 nationally) to produce a defensive takeaway in every game this season.
- CU's Bryce Bobo is 10th in all-time receptions at CU with 133, and could move up several spots tonight. Ahead of him are Derek McCoy (134), Rae Carruth (135) and Javon Green (136).
FIRST QUARTER
- Buffs won toss, deferred to second half. ASU chose to receive.
- ASU returned kick to own 22. Buffs forced a three-and-out, getting incompletion on third-and-4, forcing ASU punt.
- Buffs took ASU punt and marched 62 yards before settling for a 34-yard James Stefanou field goal and 3-0 lead. Steven Montez completed four passes on the drive and CU converted three third downs before stalling at the Arizona State 17.
- Sun Devils took ensuing kickoff and marched to midfield before the Buffs forced another ASU punt. Evan Worthington had good pressure on third down and Trey Udoffia had pass breakup to halt drive. CU took possession at own 12.
- Colorado missed a big chance for a 76-yard touchdown when wide receiver Shay Fields dropped a pass from Montez on a flea-flicker play. Fields was wide open and the pass was perfect, but it bounced out of his hands incomplete and the Buffs punted three plays later.
- ASU drove into CU territory, but the Buffs once again held, forcing an ASU field goal try after Derek McCartney batted a Manny Wilkins pass into the air on third down, which Wilkins then grabbed for a 3-yard loss. Brandon Ruiz's 45-yard field goal try was wide left and the Buffs held on to their 3-0 lead.
SECOND QUARTER
- Colorado took over late in the first quarter, then marched 74 yards to the end zone, finishing the drive in the second period. CU dropped a pass in the end zone early on the drive, but didn't blink and continued the march, getting a 16-yard pass from Montez to Fields on third-and-6, then getting into the end zone on Phillip Lindsay's carries. Lindsay carried 8 times for 42 yards, including the 6-yard touchdown run as Colorado took a 10-0 lead.
- Colorado's defense came up with another big stop on ASU's next possession. The Sun Devils went for it on fourth down from their own 49 but CU freshman linebacker Nate Landman stopped Demario Richard for no gain and the Buffs took possession.
- Colorado, however, came up short on a fourth-down try of its own on the ensuing possession and handed the ball back to the Sun Devils at the ASU 28. Arizona State then went 72 yards for a touchdown. Wilkins threw 20-yards to N'Keal Harry for the score, cutting Colorado's lead to 10-7 with 5:38 left in the half.

Two plays later Lindsay scored from 1 out and Stefanou's PAT gave Colorado a 17-7 lead with 1:07 left in the half.
- ASU, however, quickly answered with a seven-play 77-yard drive that ended with a 20-yard Wilkins pass to Kyle Williams that narrowed CU's lead to 17-14 with 7 seconds left in the half. ASU then recovered an onside kick and attempted a 55-yard field goal as time expired, but the attempt was wide to end the half.
THIRD QUARTER
- Buffs won the toss and decided to defer to the second half. Buffs start drive from the 25 yard-line.
