BOULDER — The awards keep rolling in this week for Colorado sophomore Miranda Stinson as she becomes the first Buffalo to ever be selected the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's Player of the Week.
Stinson, who earlier this week was named the Alpha Lacrosse National Player of the Week and the MPSF Offensive Player of the Week, had a standout performance in CU's 16-11 road win against then-No. 6 Penn State.
The midfielder scored nine points in the win, breaking CU's single-game points record, which had been eight. She tallied five goals and added four helpers, both career-highs. Stinson led both teams with 10 shots, eight on goal, and converted on 1-of-3 free-position shots. Four of her goals came in CU's 7-0 run, which put the Buffs up 14-8 in the second half.
