Buffs Earn Pair Of Top-Five Rankings

BOULDER — The Colorado women's lacrosse team has earned top-five rankings in a pair of polls that were released on Monday.
 
CU stayed at fourth in the Cascade/Inside Lacrosse media poll and moved up from sixth to fourth this week in the Nike/U.S. Lacrosse Magazine poll. In the IWLCA Coaches' poll, the Buffs moved up from seventh to sixth.
 
Colorado is currently 9-0 and is one of three unbeaten teams remaining in the NCAA Division I. The other two teams are Maryland (7-0) and Princeton (5-0). Maryland is first in all three polls, while Princeton is fifth in the U.S. Lacrosse Magazine poll and is sixth in the coaches and media polls.
 
The Buffs extended their school record win streak to nine with wins last week against Winthrop and Oregon. CU took down the Eagles 18-6 on March 15, and on March 19, the Buffs earned a 16-11 decision against MPSF rival Oregon.
 
Colorado, which is 2-0 in league play, will host Fresno State (6-2, 0-1 MPSF) on Saturday, March 25. Opening draw is set for 12 p.m.
