Get To Know: Lillie Klemmer

BOULDER - The next Buff we'd like to introduce you to is Lillie Klemmer. Klemmer is a middle blocker from Honolulu, Hawai'i, and will be a sophomore in the fall. She can also play opposite.
1. What is your favorite volleyball memory and why?
Winning state my junior year in high school. It was the prefect revenge on our rivals and it was my last time playing with my best friend before she left for college.
2. Who is someone you look up to the most and why?
My dad. He is such a hardworking man who is always smiling and finds the positive out of every situation.
3. Name a place you've always wanted to go to but never have been.
Thailand! Thai food is my favorite and I really want to visit!
4. Why did you choose to become a Colorado Buffalo?
Great people, beautiful state, wonderful education and high level volleyball.
5. What is your favorite TV show?
Game of Thrones
6. Where do you see yourself in five years from now?
Maybe medical school. Maybe traveling the world.
7. If you had to be stranded on a deserted island with one person who would you want that one person to be?
Bear Grills because he would help me survive.
8. Do you have any hidden talents?
Yoga!!!! And surfing. I can also communicate in baby language pretty well.
9. Did you play in any other sports growing up or in high school?
Growing up I danced ballet for six years. I played soccer and lucky me because my dad was my coach. In high school I did high jump and threw discus on the track and field team. I also played lots of beach volleyball.
10. How many pairs of shoes do you currently own?
Maybe 10? My shoe game is weak...
11. Who is your best friend and how did you meet?
Brandee Markwith! We met freshman year because we were on the same volleyball team.
12. What is your favorite part about being at the University of Colorado?
The vibes in Boulder are awesome!
13. Name one celebrity you would like to meet and why?
Odell Beckham Jr. because he's not only my favorite athlete but he's my biggest crush ever.
